2024 in Review

2024 was a massive year for Sequence. From launching Sequence CPQ to expanding our integrations and streamlining billing workflows, we’ve shipped 44+ new features and improvements to help fast-growing B2B SaaS companies scale their receivables and billing workflows.

2024 in review

In 2024, we welcomed a wave of new customers to Sequence, many of whom successfully migrated from incumbent billing providers.

G2 recognized Sequence with multiple awards throughout the year, including 16 Winter badges, and achieving the High Performer spot in the Billing grid.

In October, we launched Principles of Revenue Management in collaboration with industry leaders like Kyle Poyar and Gokul Rajaram – a guide designed to help forward-thinking teams build scalable, efficient revenue operations.

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from 2024

Sequence CPQ

We launched Sequence CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), a tool designed to streamline the creation of order forms, proposals, and sales quotes with custom deal terms. Tailored for Fintech, AI, and B2B SaaS startups, Sequence CPQ supports complex contracts involving usage tiers, minimum commitments, and ramped pricing. With native e-signatures powered by Dropbox Sign, the quoting process has become more efficient and user-friendly.

Product tax categories

We introduced tax categories for different products to simplify tax management and provide additional flexibility. With tax categories, you can configure different tax rates per product and region and more flexibly update the tax status at the customer level (taxable, reverse charged, or exempt).

Import contracts

You can now upload sales contracts, order forms and customer agreements directly into Sequence. Get a side-by-side view of any signed contract whenever you're reviewing billing for a customer.

Salesforce integration

Our integration with Salesforce provides a seamless workflow for Sales and Finance teams to create quotes, convert them into billing schedules, and monitor invoices – all from your Salesforce environment.

Billing schedule phases

We introduced phases in billing schedules to unlock a new level of billing flexibility. Phases support advanced billing scenarios such as introductory pricing, pricing ramps, and contract renewals, providing greater flexibility in billing management.

Integrations sidebar

In 2024, we released a number of improvements for our ERP and CRM integrations. Most products treat integrations as an afterthought – with the new integrations sidebar, you can get rich context about the sync status of any object in Sequence. View a related Salesforce opportunity, link a customer with Quickbooks, view a synced invoice in Xero etc.
